ARTIST
with a reputation for unique and challenging SCULPTURE, VIDEO & PERFORMANCE ART that confronts, questions and challenges issues of morality, ethics and the very nature of CONTROVERSY itself.
Although she doesn’t classify HERSELF as such, she has been listed as one of the
U.K’s TOP TAXIDERMISTS, instrumental in bringing the new wave of TAXIDERMY into the mainstream.
Her pioneering series ‘D.I.Y Taxidermy LIVE!’ series embraced an entirely new medium of WORKSHOPS and live demonstrations that simply didn’t EXIST before. Evolving from a tongue-in-cheek demonstration in 2009, this BIZARRE mix of performance, improvisation, STORYTELLING, VIDEO, PUPPETRY became a hugely popular and sell out show.
Her video work uses the medium of ‘ANIMALATION’, where Gates animates and DISTORTS dead characters, REAL animals are MANIPULATED by hand to perform, sing and dance.
Gates went on to create ‘SING FOR YOUR LIFE’ a multi AWARD WINNING musical staring DEAD animal puppets. A REVOLUTION in musical theatre confronting the audience with the UNCOMFORTABLE truth of how we purport to CARE about our fellow species, yet are BLINDED and driven to cruelty by NARCISSM and COMMODITY. Sing For Your Life is littered with BLUNT & CRASS puns along with SARDONIC nods to the canon, processes and practices that mock popular culture, tradition and the CULT OF CELEBRITY…
Gates FASHION brand MIND LIKE MAGPIE has had pieces commissioned for BEYONCE and ELTON JOHN and seen on the holy head of CARA DELEVIGNE.
Her artwork has been exhibited in MUSEUM ARNHEM, the cover of DESIGN WEEK, inside THE HUFFINGTON POST, TIME OUT, THE INDEPENDENT, NOTION, CLASH, MIX MAG, BIZARRE MAGAZINE, DAZED AND CONFUSED & VICE. She has worked with DIESEL, BBC FILM, FILM LONDON, FUTURE CINEMA, LOST LECTURES and many more.
Born in DORSET, Gates studied sculpture at CAMBERWELL COLLEGE OF ART. She now lives and works in LONDON.

Her HANDMADE collage works CUT stereotypical social concepts, using them to SHIFT the perspective of the observer sometimes processing the images DIGITALLY, depending on the desired result. You can distinguish in her AESTHETICS a clear focal point from where everything grows.

Vito has been WRITING and PERFORMING poetry for the best part of a decade. He draws inspiration from social interactions. From amazing poets to random stories he hears from lonely people in QUESTIONABLE bars. His ART is his life, thus he lives both in conjunction. LIFE & ART are inseparable that’s why he takes himself to any EMOTIONAL state he feels is necessary when writing, no matter where that path leads. Recently he has started writing PLAYS and SHORT films. Transferring his skills over to these formats opened a whole new world of expression and ARTISTIC INDULGENCE.

LISA HALL
is an
INTERDISCIPLINARY
ARTIST.
She is based in LONDON. Focused on alternative methods of engagement and sound’s role in everyday life, her works take on the form of INTERVENTIONS, INSTALLATIONS and PRINTS which aim to highlight forgotten dependencies. Lisa has exhibited and contributed to a wide range of arts events and exhibitions including Folkestone Triennial, Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Cafe Oto, Resonance Fm, Framework Radio, Whitechapel Gallery, Speculum Artium and Whitstable Biennale.
Most recently she created a moving audio performance at the V&A Friday Late, sited on 12 models who moved through the museum.

BUBBLECAM is a playful exploration of online streaming and LIVE FEED possibilities. It is a partnership with Mike and Andie, a couple in Florida who set up the online bubble cam in their garden. It consists of an internet controlled bubble machine that can be activated and watched online. People from around the world visit the website to ‘blow bubbles’.
She partners with mike and Andie to create relays of this CAM, furthering the reach of this online request for bubbles. In each of the relay cams the audience are invited to participate in different ways, so as to explore the human impulse and reaction to this simple idea that has been captivating an online audience for over 10 years. Each relay cam explores what it is to be the live audience, the BUBBLE BLOWERS, the button pushers, those making anonymous demands through the internet and those affected by them.
For ONE OF US, the events guests will become the live audience, to discover how it feels to be watched.
THOMAS MIDLANE is the writer/director/conceiver of the piece ‘THE NEWSPAPERWOMAN.’

BIO: In his day job as a JOURNO with an international press agency, THOMAS trawls the dark heart of the internet in search of the WEIRD & WONDERFUL. In ‘The Newspaperwoman’ he transmutes the GALLOWS humour of the newsroom into something altogether more DARK and menacing.
I started ImmerCity in 2012 after university. The company is dedicated to creating immersive theatre that focuses on the relationships between characters and audience. I am particularly interested in how a performance changes our perception of space. Much of our work is written for a particular location. For instance we created a ghost walk for Holland Park, a witches seance for the basement of Babel Studios and an alien invasion for a car park in North Kensington.
“The Perilous Party” is being designed especially for the St Pancras clock tower. It was inspired by the idea of a Haunted House Party that is the central feature of the movie ‘The House on Haunted Hill’. It promises to be an evening of macabre entertainment and melodramatic spirits. I have always been a huge Agatha Christie fan, especially of her more spiritual detectives like Mr Harley Quinn. This show is an opportunity to combine a spooky murder mystery with an evening of games and movies. Audience interaction is one of the most joyful (if chaotic) aspects of immersive theatre and this is a wonderful opportunity for us to blend event with performance in a unique way.
